Alessandro La Ciura
Born in Modica (RG) on 16 March 1970, he has been programming computers since he was 13 years old, the era of the Commodore VIC20 and the first PCs.
He invented chatexpert.it, the first Italian Java chat, which was adopted as the chat engine for famous sites such as GQ and Lycos. Even then it was being sold as a cloud service.
In 2001 he had the idea (from watching fortune-telling chats) that chat could also be used to provide help. In 2004 he registered the brand LiveHelp.it , which was adopted by Alitalia in 2006. In 2007 he founded Sostanza S.r.l., which works with high caliber clients such as Fastweb, GNV, Allianz, AXA, Auchan, Arexon, Best Western, Meridiana, and Alpitour.
